SUMMARY:
Volunteer to assist with our contemporary programme

The position:
We are looking for talented people to help with many aspects of our continuing programme of art projects. You will be joining us as a member of our close-knit contemporary team, performing office management and gallery support duties. We will also need you to be the public face of our shows, meeting and greeting visitors and looking after the venues and artworks to create the perfect viewing environment for the audience.

After a 3 month probationary period we will review your performance with a view to offering you a full-time position with the Museum (should there be one available at the time). We will also be able to provide an official reference upon satisfactory completion of the work for which you are employed.

The minimum working period will be for 3 months, 3 days per week, 8 hours per day, from 10am–5:30pm (to be confirmed).

Although this is an unpaid position, we will be able to contribute towards your lunch expenses while you are working with us.

Desired qualities/skills:
➜ Our ideal candidate is highly organised, motivated and adaptable with excellent communication skills and a friendly manner.
➜ You should enjoy interacting with the public
➜ Confidence in English will be beneficial
➜ A passion for contemporary art is essential!
➜ Previous gallery or exhibition experience is highly desirable.
